I happen to like Dali a lot. Apart from his great technical ability to paint, I find his works visually stunning and intellectually provoking. His interest in Science and Philosophy and the ability to translate his ideas into visual art are years ahead of the majority of hoofers before or since. Also the surrealist ridiculousness and outright humour of a lot of his work has much to keep the viewer absorbed, like the courtyard of the museum.
