The Alhambra is a hilltop fort, palace complex and pleasure gardens built mostly by the Moorish Nasrid Dynasty in the mid 1300s. More recently a caholic church and a large monolithic amphitheatre were built in the grounds by Spanish monarchy and it was also at one time completely left to go to rack and ruin.
