Australians, unless they live in Canberra and a few other select places, rarely see the glorious colours of the change of season known as Autumn. I dare say the English may hardly notice these artistic and biological signals of the position of the Earth's tilt in relation to the Sun, wrapped up in self absorbed consumerism and disreality TV, but to the prodigal offspring returning to the land of his upbringing, they remind and evoke memories of times past and feelings of many hues.
