I don't get Antoni Tapies. There is his foundation in a nice building in central Barcelona and the wire sculpture on the top was an interesting and visually appealing work. The rest of his works in the internal galleries were, to quote Brian Sewell, "Monumentally Tedious" and almost uniformly pretentious and banal. And while we are venting our spleen, it is our humble opinion that the Picasso Museum is also not worth your time. If you buy the Barcelona combined Art Museums ticket then take a quick spin through, but if this museum is your sole experience of Picasso you might wonder what all the fuss was about.
